I read about your alien dream on the Ashtar site. Can't say I have any too sophisticated interpretation, but the first thought that came to me was that the aliens set it up, so by you approaching them you would once again open yourself up to regular visitations. Basically, they tried to trick you into opening the door into your life for them again. You feeling "stuck" and unable to help was the result of your inner guidance/knowing holding you back, for your own good.
